Sono nata a San Gallo (Svizzera) nel 1974 e cresciuta nel Sannio (Bn). Dopo il diploma in Fotografia all’Istituto Europeo di Design di Roma, mi sono laureata in Lettere presso l’Università La Sapienza di Roma con una tesi in Antropologia visiva.

Nello stesso ateneo ho conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Etnologia ed Etnoantropologia con una tesi nuovamente in ambito etnografico-visivo sulla trasmissione della memoria attraverso le immagini fotografiche.

Attualmente lavoro come fotografa indipendente; mi occupo di progetti culturali sulla fotografia; sono socia della Sisf, la Società Italiana per lo studio della fotografia, e insegno antropologia visiva presso l’Istituto Europeo di Design di Roma, città in cui vivo.

I was born in St. Gallen (Switzerland) in 1974 and grew up in the Sannio (Bn, Italy). After graduating in Photography at the European Institute of Design in Rome, I graduated in Literature at the University of Rome La Sapienza with a degree in Visual anthropology. At the same university I obtained a PhD in Ethnology and Ethno-anthropology, again with a thesis on the ethnographic-visual transmission of memory through photographic images. Currently I'm working as an independent photographer, I deal with cultural projects about photography, I'm a member of the SISF, the Italian Society for the study of Photography, and I teach visual anthropology at the European Institute of Design in Rome, the city where I live.
