C’era una volta un albero bravo a cantare. L’albero cantò per 9990 anni. Ogni foglia somigliava a una canzone. Quando una foglia cadeva nel fiume, il fiume iniziava a cantare. Quando la foglia si librava nel vento, iniziava a cantare… Questo albero è l’antenato degli Zhuang.
Nel 1998, con il desiderio di trasmettere la cultura e l’arte del canto popolare degli Zhuang, il Ministero della Cultura cinese con il Governo della Regione Autonoma del Guangxi e il Comune di Nannig decidono di istituire il Festival Internazionale della Canzone e del Folclore di Nanning. La città, capoluogo della regione, è uno dei centri culturali più importanti della Cina.

When the leaves floated in the wind, began to sing ... This tree is the ancestor of the Zhuang.
